Lucky New A45 owner

Post by Mort007 » Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:14 am

Hi guys,

Was very fortunate to have got an 2016 A45 with aero pack for £50 and a 1/665 chance of winning... but it happened!

Driven one around MB world along with a C63 and loved the A45 so much. Always hoped of getting my hands on one and now its reality.

However very dubious over its past with only 26k on the clock seems to be some gremlins which i wouldnt have thought and hope to sort out if i ever get the chance when not working. Mainly at the front end with the washer reservoir leaking and no power to the pump, ambient temp sensor not working (its physically there) and passenger mirror not folding in when locking. Hoping its something silly like not being connected or fuses. Seems there has been activity under there as one of the coil packs where not bolted down!

Then i'll look at the sunroof which doesnt retract back but only lifts. Not to concerned about that but knowing it has it but not working niggles away at me.

Anyway heres a pic

Congratulations, it’s a win either way but I hope all the issues are an easy fix for you.

Were the defects listed in the T&C’s?

Nice tidy profit whoever sold the tickets!

I hope so too, just finding time really as when mrs is at work i have the little ones. So time is scares. Yeah they would have made around 40k i reckon in tickets.

No they basically said that you won the car so any issues not their responsibility.

Welcome mate, love that colour.

Hope you can get the issues sorted out easily.

On the sunroof not sure if it's the same as on my GLC but I picked mine up on Thursday and could only get it to tilt at first but after reading the manual I realised to get it to open is to pull the switch backwards.

Some tickets were disciunted and others full price. Tickets ranged from £3.75 to £4.50 and 9995 tickets available.
