Goodbye CLA45

Post by J9NAC » Thu Jun 18, 2020 4:09 pm

Well after just over 2 years with the CLA from new I needed a change and decided on a GLC63S, just collected and had a crappy drive because of the weather but love it so far.
Some pics of old and new:

That's definitely a nice looking vehicle and hefty amount of money

Looking good!

What cars were you deciding between? Can’t beat that V8 rumble. That’s what I’m after now.

Cheers mate. The V8 sounds amazing.

I was deciding between the GLC, E63 and FPace SVR. I wanted to stick with Mercedes really and E63 was more due to higher depreciation.
Have wanted one since they came out but too much money new.

Yeah it's a bit of a beast.
They have come down a fair bit in price and I am doing a lot less miles now so decided to go for it.
Only just goes in the garage but thankfully has the 360 camera!

Hey Nick, know exactly what you mean my driveway is 2150 at its narrowest point with the chimney breast and having to reverse out of the garage can be painful at times so despite wanting another big SUV I've no intention of leaving a quality vehicle for all to see. Apart from which in reality irrespective of C-19 and generally minimum mileage it wouldn't be viable. Having had 2 Land Cruisers in Middle East for work I'd love another one here but no point as is obvious. I can well imagine you're going to enjoy the new one!

Hi Allan,
Yeah we moved not so long back and at our old house we had an integral garage we converted, but luckily have a double garage now so got the usual stuff in one half and have since parked my car in it every day and as you say no intention of leaving it on the drive especially with keyless entry now!
I am sure I will enjoy it. Image Image

Hi Nick

Nice way to travel, enjoy the high ride, have a serious look at having GHOST installed which we did and no regrets at all, great company to deal with and I can't recommend them enough. I've also put their details on here before if you can't find then let me know as I've got the information in my car file. Found the link: -
