I need to get a service pack I think, can you haggle on the phone with them? I saw that a Black Friday deal was once possible?

Thanks

We took up the Service Option for three years and pay £37.50 a month however as previously stated in the thread the advantage of paying monthly as opposed to up-front is you can cancel easily which was also the advice given by our local dealership in the event of changing or selling the car for example. I still believe it's excessive however knowing I can get things done relatively easily does help to a certain degree unfortunately as is the usual case if you come to sell with the Dealers Service History still makes a difference.

Hi, I called MB Oxford This week as mine is due a B0 at 50k. Was quoted £480 inc vat. I have paid for three services over two years at £60 per month (included Mercedes breakdown assistance) However I have had all three and wanted to work out if it was a benefit to renew.
I looked at the rate card on the Merc site and it works out at £1268 for another three services so think I will go for it again.
I do around 25,000 miles a year which did not not cover the services unto the end of the two years as the B0 (my fourth service) will be due early March. My current plan will finish in April 2019.
Hope this helps.

I’d check that as MB usually ensure your service plan runs a term & covers a certain number of services. Otherwise what’s to stop someone cancelling after having a £900 service.

Told me could cancel at anytime, but they would do a calculation and any money owed would have to be paid

Yep MB told me as well if paying monthly you can cancel any time but then they calculate how much you’ve paid as to how many services you’ve had, like wise if you sell half way through the plan and only had one service they calculate and give a refund if you’ve paid to much ,don’t really know how they calculate this as on the price they charge for services and the price you pay per month don’t stack up :D

My B5 is due now, the fully service would me cost £1122.77.

MB are saying they can either do 2 services over 24 months, 3 over 36 months or 4 over 48 months for a fixed price of £46/month.

As the service is due now though and i haven't paid any monthly payment they said it would be better to make the payments over a shorter time and quoted 2 services over 12 month (£92/month), 3 over 24 months (£69/month) or 4 over 36 months (£61.33/month).

Not sure what to do really.

Id go for the 4 over 36months... that covers you for next 3 yrs of servicing and the big one due. 👍🏼

I took my plan out about a month before the 1st service, all that means is that I’ll be paying for it after the final service still. No biggy as I’ll probably take out another one anyway as my car is staying a few more years yet
