Decarling mods...
So wanting the ECU remap for my car, got a feeling it might be a long shot to even be insured
now I'm with admiral and can fill out a change to my policy and get a quote however I'm slightly worried that if I submit this form and they say they can't insure me, will it be held against my policy that I asked for a quote for remapping and might effect my next renewal?

Why not do an online quote with fake details but mirroring you're details ?

Re: Decarling mods...
Just called my current insurer to see what the premium would be if I added an intake and dump valve. After 20 minutes discussion the underwriter refused to insure the car if modified. That was with Esure, even the guy on the call desk was surprised!
I would've expected minimal mods like that to have just warranted a small premium increase, not complete refusal
So did an online quote from Admiral and came out at slightly under £100 a year extra. Still gonna search around, maybe try Adrian Flux.

LV worked for me this year, mods declared
£240 cheaper than Admiral and £139 cheaper than my usual performance car insurer (Pace Ward)
