Grille badge

Post by Oliver45amg » Wed Oct 24, 2018 2:59 pm

I have a pre FL a45 and I want to fit a new AMG badge to the front grille, but I don't know how to take off the original amg badge. So here I am. Can anyone help me out with how to replace this part. Thanks

From what I've seen online (google images) its held on by 2 screws from the rear. So have a look inside the engine bay to see if you can access those screws. If not then it might be the grill itself needs to come off.

I however don't have an AMG badge on mine so I bought a stick-on (genuine Mercedes) one from eBay. its not the best fitting one and I wish I'd bought one with screws now.

I checked Google and they had a walk through on how to do it with a different badge to mine. The whole badge twisted off sort of thing, but that doesn't seem possible with mine. I think you may be right about having the whole grille taken off. Probably not worth the labour cost

Any idea on how to get to them? So I can replace the badge?

You can do this yourself with a bit of time; I would not take this to someone to do... We could see if someone local would.be willing to help on the forum who has done this before ?
