Remap or na?

Post by Hezza81 » Sun Mar 03, 2019 7:32 pm

Im considering going either stage 1 remap, or stage 2 remap with down pipe and intake. Id just like to hear some of you guys experiences with remapping there a45. Is it worth it?
Thanks in advance

I had mine done with GAD tuning north and it’s well worth it, and I previously had a tricolore tuning box

I’m in the exact same boat as you.

Stage 1, will eventually do it but don’t like the idea of dealer finding out. If dealer reflashes then I have to go back to MSL and pay for the map again.

Stage 2, decat downpipe will be annoying to remove before MOT at dealer but the noise would be so good!

I am considering getting a sports car downpipe, that way it passes MOT? I don’t know how much of an effect that will have on noise...

Let me know if you figure out a solution.

Drivability is just like stock but more power and more torque so you don’t have to rev it has hard day to day unless you want to.

DSM will come out as many times as you want to your home to put map on and off an unlimited amount of times for 2 years. Also they have never had a map detected by MB apparently if that’s any benefit to you. Obviously you run the risks of detection

I'm continually amazed that anyone thinks that 381hp and 0-60 in 4 seconds isn't quick enough.
