Please do let us know how it goes at EST! They sound like a good bunch of guys from what you have mentioned.MAFFA wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 6:43 amI’ve heard good things about MSL also, but I’ve no experience with them so can’t really comment. DMS have let me down with their over inflated figures & Jamie at EST has blown my mind with his knowledge on these cars. Plus the customer service & time they give you down there is really good.10SecondCar wrote:I am looking forward to seeing your update regarding EST's map when done. I have been doing some reading and I am not quite convinced at this point if they are worth the switch.
Yes the likes of DMS / MSL may flash 10 cars a day, they will be flashing a base map and then applying minor tweaks depending on the car. This is not a bad thing as the base map will be well developed and have been through many revisions / get updates. Custom tuning can be better than a well developed base map, but only if the custom tuner is adept (which is surprisingly rare).
EST are the "first" with gear box mapping available in the UK, but what is the real performance benefit of this? The adjustable launch control is nice, but it looks like their stage 2 cars are still running 11.7s 1/4 miles which is pretty standard on this platform.
And the screenshot above from EST claiming 'Still the long time record holder for fastest A45 on draggy motorsports', I can only assume they have not seen the MSL A45 times below.
If you’re happy with MSL then that’s good. Nowadays it’s difficult to find someone you really can trust with your pride & joy. EST are doing a great job so far of selling themselves on both knowledge & customer service. The results will hopefully complement that
