Re: Reverse Gear Grinding....

Same happened with me, a delay while they waited for the parts from Germany, then when they got them another delay while they waited for some special tools from Germany that are needed! Just over 2 weeks total from memory.

Re: Pads and calliper colour

The 2016 facelift has red calipers as standard, there was no option.

Re: Reverse Gear Grinding....

It sounds like you have the gearbox issue that many of us have had when selecting reverse from cold, but i would describe it as more of a "crunch" than a clunk. Its a metal to metal grinding noise, the word clunk sounds more like the thud that many also get when the car comes to a stop or slow as do...

Re: Winter Alloys & Tyres

I have Uniroyal Rainsport 3's on the front, they have done 9000 miles and are no more than half worn.
They were only £95 each and grip very well wet or dry

Re: Pedal Box Recommendations

I had one of these on my previous A45 but haven't on this one. Yes they are very effective but to be honest if you keep it out of comfort then I don't think you need one. The throttle response in S or S+ is like night and day compared to comfort. I have got into the habit of only using comfort in to...

Re: Seats - adjustment

It's interesting to see how peoples opinions differ because I think the AMG seats are one of the best things about the car! I find them very comfortable, easy to adjust to the right position, very supportive, and great how the side bolsters adjust electrically. They really hug you like no other car ...

Re: A45 service intervals

Service intervals for the facelift model are every 12,500 miles. I've had two cars that have had about 5 services between them and they have all been at that interval. That's when the service indicator comes on to say it's due, always 12,500 miles from the last one. Hope that helps.

Re: Gearbox grind

Marrow Definitely worth getting it checked out. Any sort of grinding/crunching is not acceptable, however the thud/lump that you feel coming to a stop as it changes down to first is fairly common, I've had it in both my A45's and a SLK55, and each time was told it's nothing to worry about just a cha...
