Re: Front number plate

Yes I've done a couple that way, one screw at each end and use the white plastic caps over the screws

Re: Vibration/Juddering

Sounds exactly the same as I had, as MAFFA says it was a buckled wheel. The tyre garage showed me, the inside edge had gone like a 50p piece. They were cheap aftermarket wheels though so I learnt a lesson! If it's under warranty, and the wheels are the originals, then take it to Merc to be sorted ei...

Re: Wheels....

You will see from this table that either 235 or 245 width are considered acceptable, however when I bought 8.5 rims common sense told me that if the original 8" wheels had 235 wide tyres on then a wheel that's half an inch wider will need tyres that are half an inch wider also. So I opted for 245 wi...

Re: Main beam

Thanks Maffa I didn't realise that! So the full beam only comes on automatically over 55 kph, and between 45-55 the dipped beam length is adjusted automatically according to how far you are behind the car in front. So presumably under 45 the dipped beam range is fixed at the minimum. It sounds an un...

Re: Main beam

So full beam doesn't come on automatically at all if you're going less than 35mph?

Re: Brake Judder again help needed!!

I had a judder/vibration that got worse as speed increased and traced it to a wheel going out of shape a little after hitting a pothole .
And another time when I used wheel spacers that weren't hubcentric.

Re: A45 FL front rear pads

If you don't go on track days then there is no point spending money on expensive pads in my opinion, just stick to the standard ones which are more than good enough for fast and hard driving and don't wear out very quickly either.

Re: Anyone on high mileage?

I am on my third facelift A45. One had done 56,000 miles when I sold it, the other about 40,000 I think.
No problems related to the high mileage at all. From memory the 3rd service onwards were expensive, 800-1000.
Both were needing new discs and pads at about 40,000

Re: On screen speed and rev counter

You can't get the speed and rev counter up on the centre screen.
If you mean the 3 dials they are the bhp and temperatures but you can only do that if you have the Comand sat nav rather than the standard one

Re: Wheel bolts

The wheels I've had before have always come with a set of bolts and the centre bore reducing ring if one is needed.
