Re: Lemans 2020

The camping becomes available in October but gets booked VERY quickly so numbers are needed by then. You can get race tickets from November normally, but they are available on the gate too so those arent really an issue. Trains need to be booked as soon as possible too as prices continue to rise, an...

Re: Lemans 2020

We stay in Eppinettes. We did Blu Nord the first year but Eppinettes is a better site. Smaller but with just as many showers and W.Cs which are brilliantly kept. It also allows a decent nights sleep as most partying stops at about 2am. Yeah, the grandstands are on top. We dont bother to be honest. I...

Re: Lemans 2020

Long time no see boys [emoji4] ssw this post though and thought I'd chime in. Cheapestvway to do this is in a largeish group of about 14-18. I organise a group of that size each year (and have done for the last 6 years). I have got the total cost down to £340 per head based on 3 in a car. That cover...

Re: New A45S

Theres not that greater difference in weight between them. Its only around 70kg. I appreciate that seems heavy, but its only the equivalent of you having one average sized passenger in the car with you. That difference is reduced to 55kg if you have pan roof on the A45. I think both cars feel heavy,...

Re: The Very Best Hot Hatches?

Absolutely. Theres a 1.6 for sale in a vintage car sales group I'm in on FB. Its a 91 so a late car, and is in decent nick, but its still £3750 and to be perfect will need about 1k spent on it.
Maybe when I retire the wife will let me get one again.

Re: The Very Best Hot Hatches?

I had a 1.6 box fitted too !! Animal off the mark, then as you say 5k on the motorway [emoji23] I went through 5 boxes during my ownership. Its the longest I've ever owned a car. Had it from 17 till i was 22. It had 70k on it when I got it, and over 200k when I eventually scrapped it witha blown hea...

Re: Hi

No, Sanspeed in Essex iirc. To be fair it wasnt their fault it went pop. Those L3 engines had a rep for going pop even when stock. There was an issue with the stock map that allowed the car to run way too lean and that caused pre ignition. Thats what happened to mine. Shame as I really enjoyed my ti...
